Cookies and storage
Last updated 5 October 2026
We don't use cookies. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts — that's why there's no cookie banner. Your browser does keep a few strictly necessary things so the site and the game work. Here is all of it.
On this site (boomiki.com)
| What | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your quiz answers (age, languages, level, goal — nothing that identifies anyone) | Session storage | To show your reading plan | Until you close the tab |
| "A grown-up passed the check" | Session storage | So you don't answer the grown-up question on every page | Until you close the tab |
The site loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. The demo on the home page loads the game from play.boomiki.com only when you tap it.
In the game (play.boomiki.com)
| What | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Progress, stickers, language and letter settings | Local storage | So your child continues where they stopped | Until you clear the browser's data |
| The offline copy of the game (only if a grown-up taps Download) | Browser cache and a service worker | So the game plays without internet | Until you remove it in the parents' corner |
None of this is sent to us.
Statistics
We don't collect usage statistics today. If we add them, they will be cookieless and aggregate, will identify no one, and this page will show how to opt out.
How to clear it
Clear the site's data in your browser's settings at any time; in the game, "Remove" in the parents' corner deletes the offline copy. Questions: hello@boomiki.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
